Can you prescribe the medications I am taking?
Sometimes yes and sometimes no.
Naturopathic physicians in the state of Montana have a long list of pharmaceuticals we can prescribe, if we choose. However, those drugs we can prescribe are those of a natural origin, such as antibiotics and hormone therapy. If you have prescriptions that you must continue that I cannot write for, then I must work with your other doctors to keep them informed of your health care plan and progress to assist them with their decision making.
Ultimately, the goal is to improve your health so that you can eliminate some of your prescription medication.
